What is Enhanced Recovery?
SunGard’s enhanced recovery solution is a service offering aimed at reducing customers Recovery Time Objective (RTO) by as much as 30% based on a typical reactive approach to recovery. On a three day test this can mount up to one entire business day saved.
The service provides a platform from which the data recovery process can begin. The recovery is initiated by SunGard technicians prior to the customer arriving on site or at the start of a recovery test, allowing the customers staff to concentrate on other aspects of the recovery process or core business.
The service has four main elements:
- Capturing the server image at the customer’s facility
- Sending the server image to SunGard for storage
- SunGard technicians then deploy the image to subscription recovery servers at the time of test or disaster
- Accessing the image remotely at the time of test or disaster from any location
